I finally started playing the ubiquitous Hearthstone. I have mostly been trying to get through the beginner's practice games, but I have played, and lost, one game against another human (apparently KillerKitten is tougher than they sound). I am enjoying the game, though it does have some design quirks. And even in this short span I have come to a few tentative conclusions:
1. I have no strategic talent at all.
2. This 'free to play' game actually has enough free content to make it worth playing.
3. Based on the options, interface and lack of keyboard shortcuts this game must have been designed from the start with touch screens in mind.
Even having read a strategy guide and watched dozens of hours of game play on YouTube I am still very bad at this game. I can only hope that in time, and with better cards, I will see some improvement. I do recommend the game though...
