Oh the weather outside is frightful...

I am happy to announce the first fire of the season!

After one hour of chimney cleaning and another of ash removal and general maintenance we have a delightful little fire going. The first fire is always a happy event, not least because it is our primary heat source and it has been a little cold the last few nights. You can only put so many blankets on your bed before you start to feel claustrophobic.
